1. Sinkage near the entry. Wet patches gather there after rain. Means the sub-base is failing — and failing sub-bases don't recover. They get worse every winter.
2. Weeds in more than 20% of joints. The kiln-dried sand has eroded. Once seeds reach soil, they don't leave without a full re-jointing job.
3. Blocks sitting unevenly. When individual blocks wobble underfoot, the entire laying course is compromised. Hiding it with fresh sand is a 3-month fix.

What we build in Over

Around 70% of our Over work is block paving replacement — family homes swapping out tired 1990s drives for Marshalls Drivesett Tegula, Brett Omega, or Tobermore Historic ranges. Classic UK aesthetic, 25+ year lifespan, repairable by the block.

The other 30% splits between resin bound (for the modern-minded owners), gravel (for the cottage corners of Over), and repairs (where the existing sub-base is still sound).
